Dirt in the drainage channels

Default Dirt in the drainage channels

When I removed the wiper cover panel to investigate the alarm siren I found that the drainage openings were blocked. I'm very glad that I'm opened this cover panel and found thiss, it could cause rust and even flood over and into the ventilation system of the car.

Here is how I opened the cover panel and how it looks inside:

Those should be cleaned at least once a year if you park outside.

Yes that had been good to do, but I think the wiper arm's splines will worn out if I have to open this this cover panel too often. Maybe if I modify it and make a hatch on the panel at the egdes where the drainage is placed.
