Default Motion detector

I have Crossfire 2004. When I park on the street, motion detector will go off when a bus or truck passes by. Any way to turn that off?

Do you mean your Tow Alarm?

I don't think it is the tow alarm. I think it is due to low rumble created by bus or truck that shakes the car enough to generate the siren sound (like an ambulance)

I think the low frequency rumble of a bus or truck is triggering the alarm. Sounds like a siren on an ambulance.

I didn't think our alarms have motion detectors. Perhaps your alarm internal batteries are leaking and shorting out causing activation. I would replace or disconnect the siren.

Whast is easiest way to disconnect the siren? I have read some threads about having to take windshield wipers off and getting under the cower, but is there an easier way?

That is the process.

It would help if you'd tell us what country you are in. Crossfire security systems vary by region. You are being answered assuming you are in the USA - you show no location on your profile or posts - how are we supposed to know how to answer?

Additionally, you may have an aftermarket accessory alarm (probably not, but if so, you won't get an accurate answer here!)

It's amazing how many posters now days will not even give a general location of where they are?
