Dc Warranty Work

i have a 2004 crossfire i bought it 22,300 km. i have a problem with first gear so, they changed the tranny fluid. its still the same now they tell me its the clutch that its slipping. i went to another dealer and they say the clutch is not slipping. i don't know what to do next. i've been fighting with them since i bought the car month ago. i called dc canada they told me what ever the dealer says is wrong with the car is what they go by. my buddies told me drive it through the showroom window that should wake them up.
My story is a lengthy one... but to sum it up, they did fulfill the warrantee obligation. They fixed it as needed. The problem for me was the way they did it, the time they used to complete the project, and the workmanship involved.
Problem : engine ticking noise loud enough to hear over the exhaust note.
visit #1- changed the oil, installed 3 new tappets.
#2- changed the oil, installed new rocker arms, car was quite dirty and a new large scrape on the right front fender.
#3- At wits end and after much head scratching, were advised by DC to change the engine. Parts were ordered, and engine came in pieces and had to be assembled from the crank up. This whole process took them 60 days to complete. Car no longer ticked but leaked oil enough to coat the whole bottom of the car in the drive home. I choose to reseal the bottom half of the oil pan myself. A year later it seems to be doing ok.
My dealer was completely incapable of working on this car, and certainly no concern over time or customer satisfaction. I was told more than once, that the mechs do as DC tells them, and they can only remove and replace what they are told under warrantee supervision. Nothing for the car is stocked at the dealer either.

Anytime any warranty work will be needed, it's going to take time, so best to have an alternate vehicle around. We opted to get the Maximum Care protection that gives you a rental car for anything that is needed from an oil change to a full engine rebuild, from 7/70K protection... Cost was $1,800, but it may be worth it in the long run since parts are rare, and have to be brought in from Mercedes/Karmann or whether they get them... The E19 fan control module fix and a few other minor things regarding the stuck on protective plastic (on the lot for 390 days in the sun) ruining the rocker panels and needing repainting took nearly a week... We had a rental the whole week at no charge. Sunnyvale Chrysler Plymouth in Calif. has the right techs for the job and they left it sparkling thereafter... But, be prepared for long waits on repairs. You might want to shop around for a DC dealer with a shop that has been trained in the SRT vehicles, and especially the SRT-6. Even if you have to drive a bit out of the way, it sounds like it will be worth it.
