Unhappy Is it a Ford?

I was showing someone my Xfire yesterday, and they asked me if it was a Ford.

Some people, eh? Bah!

Yeah, because the Chrysler 'wing' is soooo non-descriptive!
Sheesh......
No one out there knows anything about our cars. It's kinda a shame; doesn't do much for resale value! On the other hand, though, that's why I bought one (actually 2!), it certainly is unique, there's nothing else like it (unless you consider the Solstice or, heaven forbid, the new Thunderbird as replacements!).
I don't mind Fords; I've driven plenty, still own a Merc. Cougar, & loved my Probe GT but nowadays I've become a huge Xfire fan !

He know it was a Chrysler, but I think he was referring to the underlying car (was it based on a Ford model?).

That said, the Chrysler wing does look somewhat similar to the Ford Thunderbird wing:

and from a distance, I can see why the confusion may arise, especially with the newer model:

No, sir, I don't like it. </mr horse>

Wow I love the red interior trim in that 2002 Thunderbird - it put the Xfire to shame!
