Mods & Insurance
HI,
I've been reading on this list about various changes and upgrades I can make to the car - some decorative, others which improve the car's performance, power etc.. What’s the impact on insurance if these are fitted?
I’m not planning on anything like this at the moment - but if you are converting a Crossfire into a bomb on wheels, won’t they want to know about it and up the premium?

Hi Paul, Why would you ( or anyone) consider boasting the power output on a touring car that has a good 0-60 time and a top end speed of 150 MPH. In all honesty its not a sports car, just a very special combination from Merc and Chrysler and decent styling by Karman. Its a great package and if owners want more power get the ST. That said, I fitted the sprint booster and notice a vast improvemt and the feeling that it reached the legal limit a mite faster with smoother changes.
Looking forward to meeting you in July, if you can make it.
Regards
Ken.

HELLLLOOOO!!
Yes I agree Ken, the car will go faster with various mods, and its easy to go mad and spend lots of money. Then you end up with a car that can be difficult to sell in the future, as "go-faster" engine mods can give the (wrong) impression that its been hammered. Its better to spend the lolly on a trade up to an SRT6, which also has more powerfull brakes and lots more Ooomph. The only engine mod I would consider is an ECU re-map, which gives you the extra punch, and can be returned to standard if you want to sell the car later. The S/Booster definateley makes for a better drive and quicker throttle response. See this link:

Given my past history of cars, this is by far and away the most advanced and powerful car I've ever owned or driven. I'm enjoying it in it's "out of the box" state.
