Need to remove interior lamp cover, re bulb replacment...

Don't want to damage the surrounds or unit. I have pressed here and there but with no success.. Any help or instructions available?

Ken,

you'll have to slowly and carefully pry the clear lens away from the housing. Pry at all 4 corners in sequence straight out. Do not tilt or tip as it is a bit brittle.

Once removed, I suggest instead of tweezing the bulbs out, remove the housing from the roof by taking out the 2 Phillips-head screws. The bulbs sit in little removable holders of their own.
If you push on them from below, they are easily damaged.

N.B. Once you have the main lens off, you don't actually need to remove the whole assembly to get to the bulbs. You can pull the little diffusers off and then just pull the bulbs out. I took the whole thing out as I had a faulty connection too, and to be honest I think I would prefer to remove the 2 screws that hold in the whole assembly and replace the bulbs from the back of the unit, rather than risk snapping the little diffusers!

Bulbs are code number 501 sidelight bulbs.
