Methuselah is well very well, and looking forward to the Christmas lunch meet.

Not long now, just hope the weather is kind to us for that weekend. It will be good to meet and chat to new owners.

See you there.

UKKen.
Methuselah! so unkind Chris. No way to treat an OAP.

I'm hoping the weather isn't going to spoil things next weekend. We'll be traveling quite a way & arriving sat. night. Ok - here's the car geek question for those of you who know the area. Where can I wash my car before the meet??? A jet wash just to get the salt and nasties off her so she's not covered in 160 miles worth of crud. We're staying in Asthall but probably only arriving quite late on sat night so somewhere that is open on sunday morning would be good if anybody has any suggestions, they would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Im just trying to sort the new car out, despite deep snow everywhere. Today I called into local DVLA to change reg numbers over and was told this could take up to 7 days to come through! Hopefully all sorted for the weekend!

Its a good point and I expect there will be something close by - I'll look into it! Just a thought, many car washes/jet washes are frozen up in this weather!

Will you be able to join us Sat evening at Golden Pheasant in Burford for a Meal at 8pm? or just get there when you can?

Didn't think of that...I can but try!

I think we may miss the meal but perhaps meet you all for a drink later on. Just to warm the cockles - medicinal purposes only of course.

Weather for Sat/Sun at our meet location is according the the Met Office expected to be windy and cold..but no mention of snow.

Drive carefully and rap up warm...This is our third Christmas lunch meet and the largest number of owners down to attend..plus, you may win one of the three raffle prize's...I bet you excited now!!

Chris..I agree...I would rather be pulled than pushed in adverse weather conditions..

But a sports car needs rear wheel drive...Do you recall the Lotus Elan from the 1990 until around 1995...Great looking car but had front wheel drive and was almost impossible to achieve decent corning, it just had no real feel...a Golf GIi behaved better.

Looking forward to this meet... weather permitting.
Gainsborough took a big hit of snow this evening and forecast isn't looking good.
Still, we will make it, if we can.

Chris...Contacted a Inn owner in Burford where I have stayed before, for a weather update..

Currently there is some snow, but all main roads in and around Burford are clear and passable..

Will check again on friday.

UKKen..

Looking forward to seeing the gang this weekend - weather is still bad in many areas and allthough Burford looks as though it will be OK at the weekend, of course some folks will have a long drive to get there. Please take extra care on the jouney, take your time and be prepared for freezing conditions
