Default for sale startech 3.8 S

Due to sad regret the startech 3.8 S is up for sale. The reason is the oldest one there is for crossfire owners need a bigger vehicle. Many years ago I used to be a professional drummer touring all over etc decided to stop in 1995 and did some more in 2003 to 2004 but from 95 there on began teaching drums around schools and colleges and private tuition ever since. But over the last few months I have the urge to want to play again and I can't get a 22 x 18 bass drum in the back of a crossfire he he.

For the last six months we have been borrowing and hiring cars to move things about and it is getting to that ridiculous stage where things can't continue the way they are. Myself and my partner feel it's unnecessary for us to have two cars as we both run our businesses from home and don't have kids to run about.

Before I advertise or try? And trade it in I would prefer a pure crossfire fan to buy this rare car that would appreciate far more than anybody else. I'm not going to discuss prices on here but I basically want what I originally paid for the car in the first place last February 2010 which I think is a fair price as for what extras this car has so I am not trying to make more money out of the car. I am not going to get personally involved in shipping the car overseas but overseas buyers are welcome but they would have to sort it all out as I just want the cash for the car so I can move on but I would prefer it to stay in the UK.

I also might consider a part exchange on another car. Cars which I am currently interested in next are Chrysler 300 C, Nissan MURANO 3.5 V6

, and any Jaguar with four doors or even take a cheaper standard crossfire if that helps somebody who wants to move up to this car but it would have to be a really cheap crossfire so I could part exchange it in also all cars must be automatic.

The cars mileage at present is just under 49,000 miles the MOT is due the end of October. The mileage before I had the car MOT last October 2010 was 47,200 miles. So you can see we don't do many miles except for running about locally. The car was last serviced at 44,300 at Chrysler plus they MOT it back then and the book is only stamped with Chrysler dealerships not Joe Bloggs backstreet garage. The car is used most days and as yet touch wood never ever let us down. The cars condition is good the worst part is the alloys do need refurbishing which I was totally aware when I bought the vehicle but I've never got round to having them done the other is that the car has had five former keepers which never bothered me anyway as long as the car had been well looked after which I thought it had and was told the first three would have been properly different dealerships as this car was on tour all over the UK. The previous owner to me was a lady from Wales and before that a gentleman from the Midlands.

Before you ask people do ask what's the difference between this car and the srt and standard car I don't know I've never drove either all I can tell you is before this I drove a Jaguar XK V8 and the crossfire is much quicker on acceleration but although I have had fast cars and never drive them hard. I'm not going to list all what's on the car as it's well documented already and UK crossfires website Steve has done an excellent write-up on their for more information

Anybody seriously interested is welcome to contact me. If interested but please please no time wasters and joyriders

Now sold. I would like to wish the new owner all the best in the future with a car. In the short time I've owned a car it's been a pleasure and trouble-free motoring and will be sadly missed but needs must.

I'd like to thank everybody on here for their import and advice on giving me along the way and a special thanks to Steve UK for always being there for me on the end of a telephone if need be. I hope one day I will be able to be in a situation to have another crossfire which many seem to do but who knows. But I will keep an eye on what's going on around here because I've enjoyed doing that before owning a crossfire and have learnt a lot from you all.

Well I now have my new ride which is what I wanted once the crossfire was sold which is a late 2005 Nissan Murano 3.5 V6 with under 40,000 on the clock some call it a 350 Z Jeep on stilts but I have to admit it's a dream to drive plenty of acceleration for what I need considering the weight and size not sluggish at all from what I expected as I once owned a range Rover V8 which was awful but this Murano is a beauty to drive and doesn't feel like a large vehicle to drive. So I don't feel I've had to compromise too much to get a larger vehicle to move stuff around in.

I'm sure some of you know in the UK who bought the 3.8 S crossfire but I will leave that to the new owners wishes to make himself known if he wants people to know. All I will say it could not have gone to a nicer guy who will look after her. And like to apologise for not being able to attend any meets while I've had a car due to personal reasons it's been quite difficult but I'm sure some of you will be able to see the car soon.

Anyway guys and girls thanks again for everything

Mark

Mark,

Many thanks for the update, and I'm sure you will have lots of fun in your new ride, and I know it will suit your needs much better in getting that drum kit round the country!
Its been a pleasure to be of assistance with the car and yes, it's new owner is very keen to bring the car back to its former glory, and I know you wanted to do this if time had allowed. Of course the car would never have come to light had you not taken a chance on it, and I expect it will create a lot of interest when it appears at the meets, I am hoping it will become our mascot!
Lastly Mark, thanks again on behalf of UK Crossfires for the printing work did for us - a great job! Keep in touch

To Mark
Many thanks for your kind words and I am so pleased to now be the custodian of this wonderful car. For sure she needs some TLC but it is all mostly cosmetic, apart from the brakes! But my challenge is to re-create this car into its former glory and, hopefully, show the world what could have been.
Off to Brooklands tomorrow with her which, if I am not wrong, will be her first showing with the club. Why do we always call cars "her". Nothing to do with being tempremental I hope.
Anyway Mate, cheers again and please keep in touch.
Mike
