Replacing coupe headliner/interior ceiling cost?
Right as you good folks know I now have myself an xf...and the initial problems that came with the car are steadily being eradicated, one of the main ones was the leak at the boot latching which caused water stains to my headliner/interior ceiling...now I've been looking at all sorts of cleaning, steaming options to get them out but then I thought "why not get the headliner retrimmed?" I think the light headliner material doesn't really go with black leather anyway, so I'm curious as to how big a task it would be & if you guys have any thoughts in terms of cost? (or have any of you had it done?)....something I have never had prior knowledge of?.
Oh & may I wish you all a very happy forthcoming new year

That’s a fairly big job to do if your not use to striping cars down. Lots of odd clips and ways of holding things up .
Not to sure of a cost. When I needed a TVR hood retrimmed the cost was about £700.00 by a company near to me called Trimmainia. So a headliner might £250 to £350, but not sure. Have you tried a valeting company to clean it ?

Since becoming a dad I have noticed something I've never noticed before (more so over Christmas & Sunday's) & it's becoming a common trend, mums holding child(s) at the door of home waving their husband/dad off whilst he jumps into a sporty motor for a bit of escapism.....I have become that dad/husband
No need for this thread anymore, my dad put me in touch with a local 1 man band mechanic who has properly re-sealed the rubber boot leak problem...not only that he cleaned the inside and removed water stains to.
All for the massive sum of £40, well chuffed
