Smile Ebc ultimax discs for srt 6

HI,
After looking on various web sites for some time it is very difficult to find after market disc for the SRT 6 of any quality ie slotted drilled or dimpled, but after being in contact with EBC brakes they have started looking at our cars but at the moment only produce the fronts that are the same as the 450 Merc but as yet not the rears !!! this looks like it is going to change in the next 4 or 5 weeks as they have now a ref number for the fronts, so after speaking to a chap at Larkspeed i have given a deposit for the fronts only, hoping to get the ball rolling and making them EBC aware that there may be a market for a small batch to be produced...anybody interested ? ..

ULTIMAX SLOTTED DISCS
FRONTS USR 1516 =£243
REARS USR 1443 =184 inc vat

They seem to be a quality product with a nice finish you can easily view them on EBC or LARKSPEED website

Maybe I'm missing something but Pagid Discs are around £133 for complete set of 4 unless going racing (and who would race a Crossfire) what's the point?

I've just put Brand New Brembo Disc's and Pads on my SRT £131.92 including delivery.

I have to agree with Bob, WHY?

Remember it's not a Corsa

I put drilled/slotted disks with red stuff pads on my last XF with great results and no more brake dust and they looked cool too. On the downside these disk do produce a little bit of noise when braking.

As for racing a XF - there are lots racing very sucessfuly in the USA, check em out on you tube

Had a look on YouTube pretty much all is drag racing not circuit racing – me I wouldn’t race a XFR in UK with the lack of body parts. If I did, and I looked at the 750 Roadsport series, I think that for 45 mins I would want to update to ceramic rotors if allowed but being against things such as Elise’s & Boxsters with the vast amount of tuning kit available for them may prove fruitless and after all the XFR is known more as a sports tourer than a sports car and probably more suited to drag racing al la USA
As said they (discs & pads) look cool so it’s more about pose than practicality and we all got Crossfires to be different didn’t we?

Hi Steve, that price was just for the fronts, the rears just had new pads as the discs were fine as we're the rear shoes.

I got them from eBay and you can get them painted or unpainted. I ordered them unpainted and painted them myself before fitting.

Hope it helps!
