I think for my requirements the Crossfire will be perfect. I've finished tearing up the roads on Motorbikes (too old, reactions slowing up!) and want something a little different with some 'squirt' and an auto gearbox. Looks like a good one can be picked up for next to peanuts at the moment. I can't really think of what else would give me as much for 5k.

I missed this car by a couple of hours so the search continues:-

Chrysler Crossfire 3.2 V6 2DR AUTO (FSH BEST IN UK) 2005
I checked this xfire out way back...I think you were lucky you missed it! Its was a 2004 car registered Jan 05....it had 5 owners the last for only 4 months ? The 5k plus asking price was far to much for that spec car.

Don't rush to buy..there better xfire's around for 5 grand.

UKKen...

Whoa! Thanks Ken!

Couldn't get over how clean it looked. So, on its 6th owner now. Wonder what's up with it?

BUT useless to drive in the current UK snow conditions, and not so good in the wet either. But I still love them.

UKKen down south!

Have you not found the 'W' switch Ken???? just to the left of the gear stick!! use it in the wet and you will be very suprised just how GOOD they are, even in snow

Your right Ken. April keeps saying, you don't use it enough. I know April's right but I love it

Is that what the W switch is for? ...I now know why my windscreen washer is not working? I thought the big W switch was for "Washers.".what a silly boy I am.

Still on the hunt for a car that feels right.

I'm becoming a bit peed off with the attitude of some dealers along with their overpricing antics so may well give them a miss. Whilst I realise they are in business to make a profit I feel that some cars are priced up to a grand over the top.

Found this on Ebay today:-

2004 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE AUTO GUN METAL GREY | eBay

Looks pretty clean for the money. Anyone on here know this car? Opinions appreciated.

Quite a way from me also and my viewing plans have been scuppered by the weather of late. I still have my eye on this:-

CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE COUPE | eBay

Although I feel it will be one of those that will sell in the last minute on Ebay.

Onwards and upwards!

PS Anyone know why the forum has gone all backwards on me? The first post of this thread is now at the bottom of page two and the newest post at the top of page 1!

Pete..See PM...For me I'll rather have a 06 Black xfire with 33K and open to offers..( I've contacted seller) rather than a 203/4 in grey with 66.5 K

hey Pete, the black coupe is only a couple of miles from me, can go give it a once over for you. can't do it before the weekend tho and I see the listing finishes in a days time. There are no bids on it so maybe contact the seller, if it doesn't sell and try and arrange something.

Well that one went quick, I knocked on his door and he said he had taken a deposit over the phone. But what with the weather and work, I forgot to update this thread.

Many thanks Dal, that one was still on my list of possibles and looked ok for the money. Got my eye on another though and hoping to not get pipped at the post!

Thanks again,

Pete.
