Must be an upgrade from cloth seats?

These seem to be rare in the UK - how many RHDs were made / imported?

 

Not a "Base" don't think they were ever sold in the UK, but the seats have been changed

 

That's what I used to think, Mo - but I've definitely seen a few for sale here.
Apart from cloth seats (without heat I think), usual signs are body-colour windscreen trim & side strakes and no fog lights.
OK, the trim & strakes on this one could have been repainted, but who removes fogs - even if they are of limited use...?
I've seen a couple in black and a red one.

 

'Base' models also had body-colour door handles (not silver) and lack the chrome speaker trim rings - just like this car - has to be a Base, surely?

 

yeah could be, I just email the seller and asked about the seats and black paint, avoided both questions by replying "paint in excellent condition, seats very comfortable"

 

Ha! he doesn't know - or maybe thinks you're a buyer looking for a bargaining angle!
In fairness, he says he's only had it 5 months so must have been a previous owner.
Anyway, even if it is something of a rarity, I guess it doesn't make it any more desirable!
Still like to know how many were imported, though...
