Index of Crossfire problems and repairs - CrossfireForum - The Chrysler Crossfire and SRT6 Resource

It should all be in the manuals section.

Hi Peter

Sorry for the delay in getting the info to you.

These part numbers are from my past purchases. Please ensure the numbers are still valid for your requirements.

The prices on the parts listed vary from supplier to supplier. I have always used the following and then go to the company with the best price. Please be aware that a couple of these firms have merged, but their prices can vary from day to day.

1. Euro Car Parts

2. CarParts4Less

3. BCC Autofactors

4. GSF

Some items are only available from the likes of Halfords. Be aware that Halfords prices are up and down like a yo-yo. It would be beneficial to join the Halfords motoring club as you get regular £5 discounts that can help bring the prices down.

Air Filter; Part Number (C2861-2) these are Mann Filters: -

Automatic Transmission Fluid; Not purchased any myself.
Battery; B096SPPLA – National Tyres and Autocare did have the best prices with great warranties.
Brake Fluid; Not purchased any myself
Coolant; Comma Xstream G48 – Only ever found it at Halfords.Be aware it is critical that you ensure all the old coolant is removed to ensure there is no contamination which can cause problems for the aluminium engine.
Engine Oil; Mobil 1 – 0W-40 Halfords had the best price when I changed the oil this summer.
Fuel Filter; NOT a part to change yourself
HT leads; Never changed mine
Oil Filter; Part Number (HU718/5X) this is a Mann Filter: -

Power Steering Fluid; Not purchased any myself
Spark Plugs; Not purchased any myself
Sump Gasket & diameter; Do you mean sump gasket or sump plug gasket?
Windscreen Wipers; Bosch, I do not have the part number to hand.

Rear Axle Fluid; Part number Fuchs Titan Sintopoid FE SAE 75W-85 – supplier OPIE OILS (Ebay)

Additional Items:- Personal Choice

Rear Brake Pads; Part Number Brembo (BREP50025 / 646ME0470)

Hope this helps

I order plugs, wires, etc. from NEEDSWINGS.COM here in the USA. I have no idea what part number, I order from Rob because he knows what is needed.

For my differential, I used Mobile 1 75W90 under advice from the real "tech heads" here on the forum.

Engine oil is any of the 5W40 full synthetics that has "MB229.3" on the side. I would avoid 0W40 unless you are in a cold climate (which you may be).
Full list of approved oils is here:
https://operatingfluids.mercedes-ben...sheet/229.3/de

Power Steering and convertible top uses Pentosin CHF11S.
Brakes use DOT4 here in the USA, I do not know how brake fluid is rated in the EU. This site is MB's information page that might be helpful:
https://operatingfluids.mercedes-benz.com/

Other than the air filter, the engine is an M112 which was used in the SLK320, you can search "2003 MB SLK320" for plugs, wires, and most fluids and be just fine. In fact, that is what I do.

In the USA, the Fuel filter is a Mann WK720. But over there, I would search "MB SLK320 fuel filter", and I would expect the search to yield a BOSCH part. I BELIEVE the BOSCH number is 0 450 915 003 0.

Thank you to The Tester & Pizzaguy, the information supplied is very much appreciated!

Please confirm a good for a right-hand front lamp unit?

Kindly confirm whether one can obtain replacement glass lenses to replace the plastic ones or a good cleaner?

Best regards,
Peter Hart
