Default Two keys but no central locking?

2005 Roadster. The fuse (26) hasn't blown, Changed battereies in keys.I have tried all manner of ways to re-program keys but none of them work. I can lock from the console button, but not unlock. I can push the catch down on the passenger door and lock the drivers door with the key, which secures the cabin. The boot and petrol filler cap are always unlocked though.Any more ideas? I can live with it the way it is, but would rather not!

I would check the central locking pump for corrosion. It is in the trunk area on the passenger side under the foam insulation. Try a search on this site of central locking pump.

I had exactly the same problem recently and additionally the interior dome lights stopped working.

Searching for help on this and other forums I was sent down many rabbit holes with suggestions as to the cause without success.

I decided to check all of the main fuses for continuity and found that fuse 9 had blown. Replaced the 10 amp fuse and remote locking with the key fob and the dome lights all started working perfectly.

AS PhilH said, start with the fuses. After having 3 random fuses go out in a short period of time, I just replaced all of them including the spares.

Hi Oldfogie,
If the fuses check out, do you hear your CLP go on? If so, you might have a cracked pneumatic line. If you don't hear it go on, you can disconnect the yellow pneumatic lines from the CLP, and verify that it's not turning - the CLP board may be bad, or the little 12V motor that drives the rotary pump may be bad. It's not that hard to replace. The hard part is finding a 12V motor with the right form factor to fit. I finally found one, but I had to modify it's shaft to drive the rotary pump.
