printing a single reply out of many
Does anyone know if there is a way to isolate a posting, or reply, so that it alone can be printed? Some reply's have 50 or more responses to the same topic. This if great, but can any one of them be isolated so only the one answer or reply that is needed, can be copied? For instance, directions, photo's, and the like. I went to copy a reply about how to change the color of our gauges and Lordy, it's 70 pages of paper and it emptied my ink cartridge. Hopefully, Valk or someone else can explain a way to copy one reply instead of the whole article and all the replies. This is the handiest way to have directions or photo's in front of us when working on the car. I can't take the computer to the garage so a printed copy of something that someone has made on a subject is the way to have it in front of you when doing the work. You can leave a reply here for me, or you can contact me by email at hoolligan1938@gmail.com. I am not real computer savy so some simple means of accomplishing this will be appreciated.

Have you tried to copy the post you need and pasting it into Word?
that would allow you to print single pages (with only the posts you’ve copied to it).

UrbanE - Sorry, but I don't understand your advice. I would like to try it though, if you can tell me how to do that. Again, I'm not very computer oriented. I apologize and I welcome any instructions you can offer to an old man. I appreciate your advice and your rapid response.

You may get some little spots or something between words but it is quite legible. Pictures will be at the size they were uploaded to the forum at so often they will only print with part of the picture shown.
In this case, save the picture to desktop or somewhere convenient by right clicking mouse and clicking Save Image As and insert the picture into the Word document using Insert in the Word toolbar and it will resize to fit or you can shrink it by dragging the corners in
I tried it and it works.

He means highlight the text you want printed, click on Copy after clicking mouse button, open Word and copy it on the new screen, save and print that page.

You can copy the picture though, downsize the pixel count and replace the picture in your Word file.
Or just insert the picture into the Word document and resize by dragging the corners in.
I think this works but I am going from memory. 🤞

I couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ve also sent Jim similar instructions and my contact info in the event he gets stuck
Happy holidays everyone
Gentlemen - Thank you so much for the help. Have saved your messages and will try them as soon as I can. Just found out this morning that my wife has to have open heart surgery. Four blockages. She's been in the hospital a couple of days and we both thought she would be coming home right away. I know she will be laid up for weeks, if not months. I won't get to do the gauge work for several months, but I appreciate both of you giving me the information on what to do to copy, paste, and print. I can do that when things have calmed down a little. This all happened so fast that I'm sort of spinning.
Thanks again for the help,
Jim
