Meet in Southern California?
We had one a couple of months ago where we all met up at Cars & Coffee in Irvine on a Saturday morning and then took a drive up to Malibu, had lunch, blasted a canyon and headed back home.
Got any ideas? I'm sure we could get a group together again.

It's every Saturday morning 7-10am at 9500 S. Eastern(off 215 and Eastern). If you need more info just go to the carsandcoffeelasvegas.com website. I won't be in town this upcoming weekend though.
Being the selfish kind of guy that I am, I'd like to have the next meet in San Diego just so I don't have to do another drive to the LA area. The problem with San Diego, besides the breaking sewers, underfunded pension plan, and ill-timed stop lights; is that the good twisted roads are a ways out of town. So those coming down 5 and 15 would then face another drive out to the east county and back. This could be a 300 mile plus drive for some.
I known someone who runs with the Corvette crowd and I'll ask him for road recommendations.
Lunch won't be a problem since there is a restaurant on each street corner and one in between in San Diego.

Methinks I got drafted.
OK, so far I've thought that we could meet in San Diego roughly 16/17 in the morning. I'm checking to see if there is any kind of car get together like C&C where we could meet at. If not, I'll find a convenient meeting place. Then, we could take a run to Julian for lunch. Just keep in mind that it will be a hour/hour and a half drive to Julian. We will also have to deal with those pesky Julian tourists.
I've asked a friend if he could recommend a good route to run on. He has a Corvette and routinely runs with a Corvette club out in the hills so he should have a good route for us. He said he'll come up with something this weekend. He also asked if he could join us but I told him no way because we were all a bunch of Crossfire snobs. I kid thee, really told him that he was more than welcomed to run with us. We could do a run through the hills going to lunch or after lunch.
The weather should be warm and sunny with a marine layer overhead in the morning. Just like yesterday, the day before, the day before that.....
The drawback with San Diego/Julian is that it will involve a bit of driving, especially for those coming from the LA area. But on the plus side gas as of today is $4.33 for 91. If anybody would like to do something different or has other ideas please let me/us know now so plans can be made or altered as required.
PS Hopefully I'll have my bumper repaired in the next week and a half. Bumper meeting asphalt proves once again the law of physics where two physical items can't occupy the same space at the same time.
