What year is Millie? The dealer didn't charge you? Is that what you're saying?!

Whoa.

Did she come with some extended warranty, or did you buy one?

Well, congrats on that!

I had the year etc in my signature but for some reason my signature info is no longer showing up. Millie is a 2005 White Roadster.

I was given a 24 month / 24000 extended warranty but it doesn't cover the clutch. Last week I contacted the sales manager and told him what was going on. He referred me to the service manager who is in charge of the department that is supposed to go through used cars prior to deliver. I contacted the service manager on Thursday and he said to bring it in, let them look at it, and he'd see what they could do for me. I took it in at lunch time on Thursday, they test drove it and then they told me they'd fix it.

I was ecstatic. About an hour later I got this nagging paranoid fear that I was going to return in a week or so to find a huge bill on the counter. I was unable to reach the service manager on the phone so sent him an email thanking him for taking the hit on the clutch. I got a nice reply back so I'm assuming they are really going to follow through. Like I said earlier, if this turns out the way it seems like it might, I'm going to be very vocal about touting this dealership.

We should set a date for some time in Nov. to take a cruise somewhere for the day. I'll check for car events. let me know who might be interested.

It might be fun to get together and take a drive some Saturday and then end up at the Pavilion in Scottsdale late afternoon to join the car show. If whatever you do happens to fall on a weekend when I'm in Az count me in.

Whoa.
I bought this roadster from ABC Nissan in Phoenix. 3 weeks and 700+ miles after taking delivery I realized the clutch was slipping. Took it back to ABC and here is the outcome:

6 Calendar day turnaround
Rental car
New clutch, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and slave cylinder

Total cost = $0.00

Not only did ABC Nissan take the total hit on this but they couldn't have been any friendlier, helpful, and courteous if they had tried. I probably paid more for the car then if I had bought it from a private party but if you're dealing with a standup dealer like ABC it's worth every penny. I can't begin to express how much I appreciate their making this right.

Good to hear you got a lot better turn around from Nissan than I got at Airpark Chrysler ,I had a rear bearing noise and waited almost 2 months for parts.
Hope we can get a group together in November.

Also, let me know if anything is happening in Phoenix in November. I live in Munds Park just south of Flagstaff, but come to Phoenix quite often (I'm actually in Phx today). I haven't been active in any Crossfire activities since I left Indiana and I need to get started. I just returned from touring the US in the Crossfire last month and put over 6,000 miles on it during the trip. I now have almost 23,000 miles on my '07 roadster.

My wife is flying down to Az for the weekend. She hasn't even see the XFire yet (except in photos). There is a big "Wild West Days" thing going on in Cave Creek so we're heading up for that on Saturday. Not exactly a XFire event unless others decide to head up as well.
