Let me know if you'll be making it and if you'll bring a co-pilot so I can get a head count for the resturant reservation Sat night. Also send your contact information to Vegascrossfire so she can keep a list of names and numbers.
If you have it, bring along a Family radio, FMS, we us channel 7 sub 14 to communicate during the drive.
The only requirement is to show up Saturday morning by 8:00AM at the Bestwestern, and be ready to put a smile on your face.
Watch the begining of this thread, post #2 https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...5253#post35253, for specific details.

Jeff- Thanks - I got your email and have added you to our contact list!
I'm not sure that your CB will work...only if it has Channel 7 - sub 14. We usually have extra radios. You will want a radio though, we chatter constantly and really have a good time on the radios!
Two months to go....!

Re: Yosemite Hook-Up - May 2005
Dear Friends,
It looks like my days as a Crossfire owner are coming to an untimely end. I've recently picked up a fiance, two teenagers and black labrador, and we've voted to turn in the Crossfire for an (egads) SUV this month. Yes, I am sad, as it was 36,000 miles of pure bliss driving that car...and many of those miles were with all of you.
We'll still be in Yosemite that weekend, and I promise to wave (if not cry) when I see you all pass us by, but forgive me if we don't join the parade. We're getting married on Friday morning before heading up there -- and using my reservations in the Valley for our honeymoon!
Have a wonderful time, and thanks for all the great times of the past. I think of you all whenever I see an XFire speed by.
Hugs,
Diane

Diane,
Best wishes to you and your fiance, you will be missed on the hookups, it was a pleasure sharing the road with you in the Crossfire.
Hope to see you in the Valley on the 7th.

Re: Yosemite Hook-Up - May 2005
It's time to start monitoring the road conditions into the park. As all know, we have had some late storms this year and some very big ones.
Here is the link to the Yosemite road conditions: http://www.nps.gov/yose/now/conditions.htm
For those who are considering using 395->120->Yosemite Valley->Oakhurst, it does not look like an option at this time.
I also see that Glacier Point road is still closed, the NPS will start clearing the road on Apr 18, maybe it'll be open on May 7, we'll see.
Road clearing updates: http://www.nps.gov/yose/now/tioga.htm
Don't worry about the main roads through Yosemite they should be in good shape. We were last in the park up to Badger Pass in mid-Feburary and the roads were clear, until the turn off up to Badger. The road to Badger was slushie at the time, I would expect it to be clear by now.
Glacier Point Road is normally closed all winter and is a higher elevation than the roads we will be on.
Looking forward to a nice spring Hookup.
