Tire Pressure - Ambient Temp.
Does the ambient temperature impact a tire pressure reading? I kept my tires at 32 psi (door sticker) but yesterday when the ambient temp was 90 degrees and I had not driven the car, all the tires read 35 psi.
Could this be because it was hot outside?

While our/my door label says 32 psi front and 33 psi rear my dealer keeps raising all of them to 39 psi.!? Is that right? I reset them to the proper (door label) psi once I get back home. As anyone else had this problem?
Well, we already know that most Chrysler dealers cannot service this car correctly, but we didn't know they couldn't read either. For whatever reason, though, my wife's Audi dealer just did the exact same thing -- even though here in Arizona it's already 110 degrees and the tires are growing and growing...

If you drove home and the pressure was 39 and you lowered it when the tires were hot the pressure will be below the 32 or 33 lbs when cold. Only check when they are cold.

It amazes me how someone could mis-read the tire pressure label. You'd think that would have been covered in the first week of mechanic school.
