Default SRT/AMG Sway Bars

First off if I only change out the sway bar for the front would I need an alignment?

Second, does any one have an SRT or AMG Front sway bar? If you do PM me!

There is no need for an alignment when doing a sway bar swap, unless you have to tear the suspension and tie rods apart to gain access to them.

You might be able to modify the stock sway bars to act more like the aggressive srt bars, but it will require some tinkering and engineering on your part. This would be a better option as you save a bit of money and it helps keep that weight down.

I have looked at the rear bar an I think I can stiffen it up considerable without doing a complete swap out. I would also like to replace that chincy plastic sway bar end-link connector not sure if it's trust worthy.

I think HDDP replaced both sway bars with SRT sway bars.
There's a pretty good thread out there somewhere on sway bars.

Is this the thread you're talking about?
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...light=sway+bar

It kind of trails off... but does have a lot of very good info!

Too bad that tower brace never came to be.

And does anyone know anymore on the steering setup HDDP's using?
It sounds as though he fixed that dead feel in the center.

Maxwell, I've done numerous searches and found all the info I need on the sway bar set up... It seems everyone is just upgrading to SRT/AMG bars. I know H&R have a set 30mm in front instead of the SRT 27mm, I'm just not sure if the H&R is solid like the SRT bar.

H&R Sway Bar:

Tire Rack also sell front and rear.

I have the H&R front bar...it's solid. Swapping the front bar is very easy and you won't need an alignment.

Haven't done the rear (not legal in stock class autocross), so I can't speak to that.

Have you looked at how they mounted the rear bar? I don't think I even want to touch that one, it looks like a PITA job.

Yeah I know... I've been under there a few times and it looks pretty intense. I think I'll just stick with the front for now although I really don't want to spend $250 for the H&R bar even if it is solid and 3mm larger than the SRT one. I don't think I could tell the difference between the SRT and H&R... yet I'm sure some could...

Anyone want to sell me there SRT sway bar?!
