Which is the better tire? Michelin or the Continental

My only question is why are the rear tires wearing faster than the fronts?

I never had any problems with the stock Conti's until the rear ones wore out, due to the rear camber being out of whack a bit. I replaced them with the Good Year Eagle F1 asymetrics and with about 1k miles on them and I don't think they are very noisy on a roadster. I haven't tested alot of tires, so I can't say they are quieter or noisier or even handle better or worse than any other though.

I had the conti's on the fronts only and they were loud.... very loud and clunky....think they were flat spotted though. Had Hankooks on back and had fronts changed to match. Perfect now.

People usually mention specific models when referring to other brands of tire, but when referencing Continentals all they say is "the stock Contis". Well, which specific Conti tire are you all referring to, because I've seen more than one on the Crossfire.
I've seen Crossfires with "stock Contis" that were the TouringContact All-Season Touring tire, and I've seen mine (duh) that came to me new shod with ContiSportContact 2 Max Performance Summer tire. Huge difference there. I managed to run down a pair of full race prepped Spec Miatas running R-Compound tires on a road course, and out braked a Porsche 911 from 125mph at the same track day event. They're actually pretty quiet too. I doubt I would have identical results with the AS Contis.

Nitto IVNO are great! The steering response is telepathic, corning grip is amazing but they do squeal a lot, road noise is very quiet, ride quality is top notch, good in the rain, plus you can rotate them from side to side! The only thing I don’t like is they need to be hot before they really grip. I haven’t had them more than a month but I like them a lot. I had Yokohama Advan S4 before, if you want all seasons I don’t think there is a better tire out there, plus a long tread life, I got about 25k out of mine. That is with 5 laps around Nurburgring and driving like a mad man all over Germany!! By lowering my car and the new tires I cut about 1 minute off my lap time at the Ring. The Conti all seasons are the crappiest tires I have ever owned.
