Default klunking noise when turning?

Is this noise common or is it the stabiliser or ***** joints? Anyone know?

Also wheels feel like they are loose and sliding a bit.

How many miles?
if lower miles -more likely requires a wheel bearing to be tightened or the steering box adjusted.

Check out the threads on replacing the steering stabilizer - I think some people there report changing their stabilizer ended the clunking.
Here's one thread - there may be more...

Any updates. Did it solve the issue? I have the same problem when turning, but mine only occurs at really low speeds on bumpy surfaces.

Mine only does it at real slow speeds. I will do it tomorrow. I had to take a safety class in order to use the auto shop on post. The stabilizer got here thursday so I will do it tomorrow when I get off work. Hopefully it works. I will let you know tomorrow if all goes well and i get to put it on.

Just replace stabilizer and the klunking stopped. Steering is stiffer but I would like it a little more stiffer. any suggestions what else might need replacing?

I just returned from dropping my car off at dealer. Same problem in addition to a loud clunking noise coming from right rear tire area. Sounded like something was "loose" and rolling around in the trunk!

Hope I've done the right thing; but with no mechanic ability, nor anyone I know who can assist, dealer is my only option.

Pray for me!

I'm having the same issue. Could anyone be a little more specific on the klunking? Is it kind of like a thrashing almost? And there is a little bit of play in the steering?

Default Make Sure You Check The Bearings!

I had the same Thrashing. I thought it was my stabilizer too. i replaced that. Come to find out the bearings were going bad. I was headed to work yesterday and tire almost came off. Now I have to replace inner/outer bearings, Spindle and Hub.

Make sure you get the bearings checked before it's too late. It's costing me $1,228 because the Warranty people said it was caused by the bearing failure which is wear and tear, which they don't pay for. "So make sure you check the bearings!"
