If you were doing it all over again, were there lug bolts that you could have bought that you wouldnt have had to grind 2mm off of AND not worry about your e-brake springs AND work with the Stern ST1's, or is this gonna be trial and error on the bolts?

Then again, I would prefer the huge grilles on some of the oldies to be flat black. The whole 30" wheel craze ruined chrome for me. Plus, chromed engine parts such as alternators fail because the chrome doesn't allow heat to escape. There is alot I don't like about it... but I do have to say I love black chrome, but its expensive and nobody in NY does it (or chroming for that matter).
PS: fritz, those wheels have a nice shape, but I don't like the chrome. You paid for them though, and you seem satisfied. thats all that counts.

My wheels look exactly like those except for the center cap. I had 265/35/18's, on the 18x10's I had on the front of my cobra, fit on the wheel was perfect. 245's look narrow on a 10" wheel. Than again some dumbass put 215's on the front of my crossfire. It clearly says to use 225's on the front. I thinking 235's should fit much better. There is approx. 1/4" of wheel sticking out of the tires I have already nicked one on something. chris
sorry, The 265's were on 9 inch rims, and I had 295's on the 10" out back

Hope this helps.

I found this site has both 40mm and 43mm taper seat wheel bolts. That way you won't have to grind the ones for the rear.
Correct me If I'm wrong about these being the proper lugs.

Mine were the length of the threaded section only.
I ordered the bolts from there. They were an extra 22 or so after having bolts shipped form two different places, but I don't have to do any grinding and they look like they will work correctly. Won't know til spring when I actually get the car out and do some work.
I think I got it right this time if anyone else needed help finding these...they have 40mm also.
Check it out...!
