Default New wheel sensors but no dash light?

I purchased a new set of wheels and tires mounted and balanced with new sensors installed from rims-n-tires.com. I was suprised to see that my sensor light did come on and hasn't in the two weeks I've had them. I thought that the sensors needed to be programmed to the car before they would work properly??? Or maybe my dash light just "happened" to go out the same day I changed them because I know it had come on before.

Of course a simple deflation of a tire would tell me for sure. I just found it odd that the sensors didn't have to be set up for my car. Unless somehow that was done before install.
