space it, cut the studs, buy the correct lenght studs.............it's up to you(I've done all three on different setups with sucess). Take a stock rear wheel and lug bolt, instert into wheel and measure the amount of threads or length of bolt sticking out...........that is what you need to be at with your new setup.

Re: Clicking noise with 16" drag radials on car
i may order a 5mm spacer since i have the shortest lug bolts you can get and do not want to spend the $ to get another set for the 10mm spacers.
the only thing that concerns me is that i read the 5mm hub centric spacers do not have a lip since they are fairly thin .1968" and i am worried my wheel may shake.
have any of you ever used 5mm spacers on these cars?
thanks

That is a .008" difference, I guess mine are just barely enough to rub. The 3mm spacer I just ordered should do the trick, it will make my bolts .118" shorter or .812" long.
Thanks

That is definately shorter lugs than mine, the ones I have are.93" of threads. Where did you find them at, I even looked on the gorilla site and could only find lug bolt locks in that size. Do you have a part number?

It would be a LOT better just to cut down your lug bolts than to run spacers...............but that's just my opinion.

UGH!!! I am in the same boat with my new non-drag wheels. The real bummer is that I just found this out tonight. I don't have a grinder, but I do have a dremel tool. I tried that, and it would take about a week to grind them down enough.
I called around and no one seems to stock lug bolts, let alone the correct size. In fact, most places I called it took some real explaining over the phone to get them to understand that I need LUG BOLTS NOT LUG NUTS!! Ugh!
I swear, everything to do with these wheels I bought is a complete pain in the a$$.
Now I'm not sure if I'm going to make it to the Dragon...

when is the dragon? the guy that sold me the spacers said i will have them in 3 days. you could get some 5mm or 10mm spacers and run on those i would guess. you would have to measure the bolts sticking through the wheels though to see what size spacer you need.

Go buy a conversion kit and change it to studs. I did this when I got my new wheels and now I can play around with spacers and not have to worry. I don't understand why these European car manufacturers still use bolts, most manufacturers did away with those in the 60s.
