Peter at Getyourwheels.com.

He is a really good guy thanks to Dan's recommendation.

I told him that I would certainly recommend him if after this transaction I was happy and trust me I am very happy!

Tell him that I sent you if you are interested.

I do love your wheels. Been looking at these for a while. I am trying to decide if I want the hyper silver or the gloss black for my Black SRT Roadster. What do you think?

I think that the beauty of these wheels is in the silver. The thing that I dont like on the black rims is the fact that it has a silver lip. The silver kinda kills the goal of blacking out your ride.

That being said the only cars that I like with a little chrome is black cars so maybe go chrome or silver.

BTW you can view these on your car at discount tire direct. That way you can get somwhat of a view on what you want.

Color does make a difference on these so take your time and play with photoshopping the look that you really want.

All that said I am really happy with these rims.

Thnx

Nate

Nate, ypu're quite welcome! I know how wheels can make someone go nuts, so i didn't mind and don't mind the phone calls; I like talking cars. Looks great; however, as I mentioned, lowered would look awesome, kind of like... well, my car!! :-) Seriously, if you dropped it, it would look like my car, but topless! I'm actually surprized at how high it sits. I wonder if the convertables all sit higher. Hmmm.

As for ride quality, the Eibach and Koni combo is near perfection in the ride department. Also, because the Konis are adjustable, you have the option to change the ride quality. Living in the DC area, streets are utter trash! The set up handles all of the bumps, potholes, heaves, and canyons with ease. The wheels are strong too, because I've hit some crazy holes without any problems.

I did the suspension mods myself during a very long Saturday. I took my time and while I was under there, I cleaned and painted everything to look brand new again. Of course I had access to a four point lift, but it can be done without one.

Congrats on finally getting the wheels and I'm glad you trusted me. Heck, I think we first talked about 8 months ago! :-) It's never a good idea to rush into a wheel purchase though.

Dan

Pics make the car look a little higher than in real life but yeah lowering will make her look sweeter. But I dont want it too slammed. Neveer really liked that look.

Either way your car still looks sweet and I appreciated the help.

Now I got the new stereo in and hope to upgrade the speakers soon!

Your car looks great with those wheels and works great with the color of your car.

My only complaint with after market wheels is that the rear wheel lip is always so much more noticable than the front. I know it has to do with offset. Our factory wheels are not like that, why aftermarkets?

Actually, rear wheel drive performance vehicles usually have wider wheels in the rear for traction. Wider wheels usually mean more lip. This look signifies power and speed. Look at GT race cars, most have larger lips on the rears due to wider wheels. Most of the tuner kids and SUV afficianado's who like 26 inchers like to have the same size lips all around. Why aftermarkets? Because I like my cars to look different or more enhanced than other stock cars. I like the way the larger wheels fill out the wheel wells, and yes, I like the lip. By the way, the stock SRT wheels did have a wider lip on the rear and it was noticeable. My question would be, why not aftermarkets (if you find some that actually fit the car properly)?

Has anyone seen the Mandrus Manheims?

They look like the OEM C63 rims. They are growing on me.

I just bought the Mandrus Mannheims (two fronts and two backs) for 1099.00 from tires.com. Free shipping and no sales tax and will be sent to my tire place. Good deal. The backs are not in stock but the guy said I could get them in two weeks before I go to Dallas. If I can't get the mannheims, then I'll go for the milliniums, but having to clean all the spokes gives me diarrhea.

This thread came just in time for me, so I thank you.

I'd love someone to pull the trigger on the Manheims in 19s and 20s; however, I have a vague memory about these particular wheels not being available in the correct offset for our cars. Peter from getyourwheels.com who has done at least 6 of our cars now knows exactly what will fit without spacers and what will not fit. I think he was talking about the Manheims when he said the offsets aren't offered. I could be wrong, but it's worth checking.

What do you mean by offsets. I bought the same size as were offered in the Milliniums. Great. I hope I just didn't get screwed. The guy will be calling me on Tuesday, so I'll make sure they will be OK. On their website, tires.com, these tires were listed as fitting the SRT6. I better not need spacers, cause they will go back. Oh, another adventure for me.

I think you misunderstood my last statement. There are alot of great looking "AFTERMARKET" wheels out there for our cars. Personally I like all 4 wheels to look the same. It seems the "AFTERMARKET" wheels have a more pronounced lip on the rears "COMPARED" to the factory wheels, whether Limited or SRT6.

Chill dude, James

James, it has to do with the offset required...you could in fact get off sets that wouldn't have the lip...but, I just gave up with all the wheel choices out there and stayed stock, but of all the wheels out there, I think the wheels above was one of my 3 choices for our cars...I just about went w/ the black in 19/20....and maybe after a few yrs, we will revisit it...but I like the look very much on our XF's...good job

Jane,

Just make sure you are talking to Peter. He knows our cars and his stuff.

Trust me you will be happy.

TO my knowledge the SRT6 and the NA's have the same wheel sizes.

ALso Dan has the Milleniums on his SRT6 so you will be fine, unless of course you went with a different model of the Mandrus brand.

Thnx
