Default Mandrus Mandrus Mandrus! Gotta love em!

All,

Just thought I would give you a few shots of the new Mandrus Milleniums.

Thanks a ton to Dan (Cgocifer) and Peter and Get Your Wheels. Pete is a great guy and knows our cars. Yes I was a pain in the butt with questions up the wazzoo but he answered them all and worked with me through all my concerns which were:

- What’s the largest tire that I can use without rubbing
- How much does the 19/20 combination compromise ride quality
- TPMS sensors, can you install my factory ones
- and I dont want no stinkin spacers! LOL!
and many more...

Suffice it to say, I absolutely love these wheels. And after much research harassing Dan and Pete it was worth the effort. They are truly classy don’t look aftermarket and blinged out. They were in fact made for this car!

This is the setup :
- 225/35/19 Fronts
- 275/3020 Rears
- Tires Falken 452's

So here are the pics :

Nate Man - Look'in good! Classy look. Did you go with 18/19 or 19/20's. I've heard Milleniums have our correct factory offsets and you don't need hub-centric spacers, is that correct?

These are made for the mercedes and they are TSW wheels so great quality and they are hubcentric.

All questions that I had to get answered before I made the investment!

Yeah,

I will likely go there but for now I am just enjoying the new look. Not sure how much I want to go lower but do have a few questions:

- Is the ride quality compromised when you lower?
- Warranty - Is that voided if you lower?
- Can you lower 1/2 inch, 1 inch etc. different ride heitghts?

Thanks

Nate

I think I've decided to go with the SRT6 wheels in pimptastic chrome, with blank (no logo) center caps. I've already sourced the wheels from a member (trading my wheels for his), and sending them to LA Wheels for a chrome exchange.

If I don't get someone who wants to exchange their black base handles, I will have them painted.

BTW, I just bought a Magnaflow exhaust I need to get installed, as well as my 74 mm TB. Too many things to do...I keep telling myself this is the last mod, with every mod.. I need meds..

I cant speak for the ride quality of a lowered limited because the SRT6 was bad to start with!

Would not think it would void a warranty other than on suspension parts.

You can "tune" the lowered amount with different size spring pads, I just left mine the way it was.

You have my number, call me if you want to discuss it. I love the look so much I was willing to deal with the ride quality. My next mod will be Koni shocks since I hear they make a huge difference on lowered SRT6s!

I am putting away right now for koni's and eibachs to do them all at the same time....should be fun...

though i must admit, i'm hesitant because NJ streets are almost as mean as Chicago...may just wait til I get back to Texas sometime next year.

FPimpmiester!

Well if its any consolation I think that the black cars are the only ones that I will accept pimpastic chrome on because the chrome reflects well like the black paint so it is less blingy than other colors.

Just curious why the black handles vs the stocker or even chrome.

Man that Magna is loud and droney, but maybe with those pimped out wheels you will need some sound!

whats the 74 mm TB?

I can't believe this thread came to the forum today. I was just looking at the Mandrus Milleniums last noc on line at tires.com. I have the same requirements of NO spacers. My friend, Gary, has the same wheels and gets a lot of complements. After seeing your pictures, I think I'm going to take the plunge. I trashed one of my chrome wheels which it doesn't look like I can replace for a reasonable price.
Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Believe it or not, I don't want them chrome so not to over do the chrome.
So, I think they shouldn't be silver. Black is the only other choice in my mind.

The 74mm throttle body is replacing the stock 68 mm. More air intake my friend.

I've tested the Magnoflows after they have 300 miles on them, and there is no drone. For some reason they quiet down after a break-in period. The ones I'm buying have 300 miles on them already.

Sweet wheels. I wouldn't lower the car but I would have the car painted black. Hyper silver on black is best.

Jane,

I had replied to you in your damaged wheels post about the Mandrus so you are on the right track. Look at your damaged rims as an opportunity to take the plunge.

If you are interested call Peter at get your wheels.com and tell him that Nate sent you. He is a fair guy and will also put in your stock TPMS and do a nitrogen fill.

Trust me you will not regret it. I assure you.

Love em love em love em! (well not that much, they are just wheels )

The MF catback really is less of an issue on a roadster. I think the hard cabin makes the exhaust note "ring" as it were in a coupe. It's not nearly so loud in my car as in the 2 coupes I rode in.
I drove Valks' coupe with the Ansa, and it was about the same as my MF in my roadster.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks I may consider one in the future. I kinda always felt that way and even it they are droney we have more wind noise anyway so its like noise canceling headsets! Not to mention when the top is down you get the wind in your hair effect with even less dronation!
