Default 2009 SL550 Wheels intalled today with Pics

Just put these on today the Wheels are 2009 SL550 19x8.5 and 18x9.5 with AMG center caps and brand new Yokohama Advan S4's in 235 40 18 and 265 40 18 I was going for an OEM look and these show off my Brembo/MB brakes better. I also like the classic five spoke look.

Looks very nice. No lip, the front look exactly as the rear. James

Very nice. Very clean and not too flashy.

I'm liking them too, now that they're on the car.

Simple, Easy to clean, goes well with your color/stripes, you have made a great choice!

Curious how a person would come up with such a fine set of OEM wheels. Craigslist, Dealer take-off, salvage yard? I would love a set on my car as well.

Thanks for the comments guys! Pretty much everything I do to my car isn't really to customize it but to make it OEM the way I would have designed it. I found the wheels on Ebay last weekend. the guy wanted $900 but had a "make offer" button. We ended up at $800 for the set which is a lot less than Mercedes wants for a single wheel. The wheels are dealer take offs. If you are patient and keep looking they can be found at good prices.

After going to Discount tire, I went to the car wash so that I could take some pictures and got great comments from two different people. There are more pictures and a close up on the Texas Motor Speedway thread.

The other wheels are still very nice and for sale. I just got tired wearing the same pair of shoes and wanted something that showed my Brembo's better I have four wheels and two really good BFG, G Force KD's that are 265 40 18 and two 10mm hub centric spacers. The wheels are 18x9 and 18x8. With 18's you have huge selection of tires. All you would need to have the full set up on your cars is 10 shorter wheel bolts for the front and your stock front tires. the shorter wheel bolts are because the MB wheels have a thinner mounting hub.

The SL550 rear wheels have a 40mm offset compared to stock 22m so I am now using 20mm machined hub centric spacers in the rear. Front offset is the same for Crossfires and most all MB wheels.

They don't look bad and definitely fit the lines of the car. But to me, they look too close to stock to warrant the expense.

I'm a bit confused-19X8.5 and 18X9.5. Are the fronts wider than the rears?

And

235 40 18 and 265 40 18

says they are all 18's.

They look great, but I was just wondering...
