Default Wanted to borrow: 9199 Bearing Tool

Hey guys,

A while back, a few of you guys bought the toolbox kits off eBay as dealers were closing their doors. For the life of me, I don't recall who, but someone offered me the use of bearing tool #9199 to replace my rear wheel bearings. Unfortunately my harddrive crashed and I lost the email of the offering. I plan to replace both rear bearings when the weather gets warm enough to work in the garage again, hopefully before the Dragon. I will gladly pay shipping both ways if someone is generous enough to help out.

Thanks, James

I've got one in my Crossfire box. Damn thing gets no use. Shoot me an email or give me a call when you're ready and I'll ship it out to you.

TVT, thanks for your offer, I have the tool on the way.

When I get around to the repair, I will post pics. This is a great place to get info and help!

Today with some research, I found my rear wheel bearings and placed my order. The dealer's discounted price for a rear wheel bearing 5101036AA is $161 each. WOW. NAPA can get them BRG GRW219 for $101 each. I crossed the numbers over to a Timken which is 513130 (Also a Federal Mogul number) for $65 each thru Amazon. In another post, SKF is listed as WKH757 but no luck finding availability or price. I saw off-brand bearings on eBay as cheap as $30, but decided against them.

JAY:

My left rear wheel bearings went out this weekend. Have had the Right side replaced twice (they didn't do it right the first time.) Is there a problem with this car and it's bearings? Is there a TSB I need to know about? My racing mechanic says that I shouldn't be causing problems to the bearings with my racing. Although, the way I drive, I'm amazed the car stays together at all.

Can you help me please? P.S. I'll be at Putnam Park April 3rd. Bring a helmet.

Thanks,
Jane

Jane,

Keep us posted this year when you will be out, I plan on coming at least once to see you throw that SRT around the track

Hi, John.

I'm booked for April 3 at Putnam Park, so feel free to stop by. Bring your helmet.

I will start to blog and post periodically. I'm getting involved in Chump Car Racing, so am having to learn to drive a stick and a total crap can car for this type of racing. I'm looking forward to this new challenge.

Was just in Nashville this weekend and enjoyed that track. Much shorter and not as technical, but fun.

Now, hey JAY, where are you and help me with my bearings, please.

Jane
