Installed these last night and beded them in. The stock pads had cracking in them from a track day (road course). The stock pads had very good braking performance but there is a noticeable increase in initial bite and stopping power with these. I performed a few hard brake tests from 70mph and noticed no fade and very quick stopping power. I paid a little over $120 for the set and feel these are a big improvement over the stock pads. They are super quiet, no noise at all so far.

There are many favorable reviews on the BMW M3 forums. Several comparing them to the Hawk HPS pads and the results were the stoptech street performance pads provided significantly better stopping power on the street and on the track.

Purchased mine here for $121.95 shipped:

Hmmmm. I wonder how these compare to the Porterfield R4S pads.

PosiQuiet Semi-Metallic

Available for most European models, PosiQuiet Semi Metallic pads offer bite levels similar to or greater than OEM formulas with reduced levels of noise and dust. Well suited to performance street driving under all weather conditions.

I never was much of a believer that all the pads are the same quality/performance, all car makes and models are the same quality and performance, you don't get what you pay for, all tires are the same and made by 1 company and so on. I was just to share some useful information on the site by posting up about my thoughts on some excellent street/track pads. i thought it was difficult to find a set of pads that can perform on the streets and the track which i need since i live so far away from the track (have good cold and hot operating temps aka best of both worlds as much as possible). Of course switching wheels/tires and pads at the track is the best option but a headache and only for those that live close to a track and can go often which unfortunately i do not.

Just to follow up, the stoptech street performance pads in the original post performed great at the track saturday. There was a noticeable improvement in stopping power and fade resistance. I am very happy with these and they held up well over the weekend, these were a good buy in my opinion.
