Got tired of dealing with Conti, called twice and I get the "it's on our website" statement from some 19 year-old that hates his job.

Discount honored the warranty, from a $$$ perspective, simply because they rock.

My next full set will be BF-Goodrich (not by choice, long story) and after that... who knows. I really want to try the Conti DW, if I can get the bad taste out of my mouth.

I'm up for new tires next year and I'm not getting all season tires, and the DW's look good and should give me the quiet ride I want. Get rid of the blocky tires and the noise that goes with them.

7000 mile update on my Conti DWS tires. Bought them in June. Took my car into Discount Tire this morning and asked for my tires to be rotated "side to side". The technician at the counter said he's never heard of that, and it would be to no advantage. At that point I asked the manager why he would have said that about the "side to side". He said that "he was new' and he will advise him". Long story short ... know what you're talking about and press on. They rotated the tires and put checked the ari pressure to specs, and measured the remaining tire tread depth. After 7000 miles, the fronts have 8/32nds and the rears 9/32nds. That's great! I again asked about the 50000 mile warranty on the tire, and was advised that it has become an unwritten guideline that if you have the tires rotated "side to side" every 6 to 7000 miles and keep the pressure at fastory specs. they will take care of the customer if they wear down to the wear bars within the 50K mileage and the proper time of use. The warranty requires that the rotations be in their system in a timely manner. We'll see what the future holds........

Good to see that they're honoring their end at least!

I have the DWS's, they have a nice quiet ride. Not at all like a snow-tire.
