advice please
Noticed the rear tires were wearing off on the inside and took it to Purcell Tire in Osage Beach where I bought them.
They advised the rear camber was off, and needed a "camber kit", but that on this car the kits were unavailable and I had to go back to Chrysler dealer.
1. Does this sound right?
2. Any idea how much this fix should cost.
3. Finally, just rolled over to 37,000 miles ( of course) so am I correct to assume this isn't a warranty issue?
Thanks so much! We are getting ready to drive to Florida and don't want to until this is taken care of.

Height of the vehicle affects the camber. I adjusted my camber to -0.6 degrees to match the average of the corvette and mustang GT for autocrossing. Wear is caused cause the tires dont sit flat and thus uneven wear. On my slicks I flip then around when they show wear to average it out. Woody
I'm makin' this clear I have nothin' to do with Purcell Tire in Osage. No way No how, not this Purcell!

The stock suspension parts should have enough adjustment for the correct set up surely.
I would take it to a dealer and get the "official" verdict.
I have a 2007 with under 12,000 miles on it with no accidents. I had a camber problem as well. There is no rear camber adjustment on this car, or the SLK320 it's based on. Factory/Dealer warranty on alignment is only to 12 months. I had to install K-MAC adjustable bushings made for the SLK320 on the lower control arms. They cost about $285 plus my labor. That fixed the problem.

That adjustment is for the front camber using the special bolts.
FROM THE MANUAL
Check the rear axle camber. (POS+) = Positive Camber,
(NEG-) = Negative Camber. The camber on the rear axle is
not adjustable. If a substantial deviations in the rear axle
camber are found, the cause may be one of the following:

Too great a difference in the vehicle level between the

Camber strut bent.
Accident damage to the frame floor. Level differences
at the mounting points for the rear axle carrier between
the left and right sides of the body. Experience shows
that bending caused by an accident also has an effect on
the toe.

If this car was purchased new and no accidents it should be OK.
If this was used when you got it maybe someone else lowered it or the springs are shot, or it was in an accident, measure the height.
