Brake lights remain on at all times?
Brake lights remain on at all times?
I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. Recently I just noticed that my rear brake lights remain on as if I was pressing the pedal. Does anyone know if this is a common issue? I am hesitant on bringing it to a dealer due to the fact I must pay a $100 deductible no matter what. I am hoping its a simple sensor swap perhaps. If you could help me out with any information I would truly be grateful, thank you.
Re: Brake lights remain on at all times?
The only time I have seen this is when I installed a piar of LED bulbs and they caused this to happen. My advice, for $5, go buy the bulbs for the rear you know are correct and install them, see if it helps. If not, you are only out $5 and you have new bulbs.

Failing that, try the relay that the brake light switch operates. This is in the fuse box under the hood.
