The 295's would be a stretch, so to speak, and the 30 aspect ratio would really complicate matters.

If I were to go either the 285/30s, which is my plan, or the 275/35's is there an offset to be used, or do they mount just fine filling up the wheel wells with no issues encountered. I know John is on the 285's and no issues, but was there an offset?
I've got 285/30/19 tires on my stock SRT-6 rear wheels and they fit rather
well. No problems with fitment or rubbing, and with minimal or zero affect
on my speedo. Hankook Ventus V12s, if anyone is interested.

So I bought 285/35/19 for the rear and I've taken them to 3 different places and they couldn't mount them the bead wouldn't set when they put air in them. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Now that's odd.
My tire shop (Discount Tire) commented on the ease of installing these wide tires compared to others.
I have the same size on mine.
My suggestion is keep trying shops til one gets it right.
Don't pay for the service unless the tires are mounted and balanced.
Good luck and please let us know the outcome here.

Just had 275/35/19 and 235/40/18 tires installed at local americas tire (with special $100 rebate today ONLY), couldn't be happier with the way they look. Got the ExtremeContact DW.
Rep said there's some concern about rubbing for the 235's in the front. Might want to consider that once you decide on the reals.

Also, keep in mind, not all manufacturers are the same when it comes to the size of the tire. My Goodyears 275/35/19 won't be the same size as say a Firestone....We had a hard time getting the F1's to stretch onto the rim...without scratching the rim....so, watch as they mount them...as to not let them scratch the outer edge of the rim...
just had 275 falken fk452 fitted and they went on a treat, was tempted to go for 285 but after reading the threads on here some people have had trouble getting them fitted to the stock wheels, others hadnt so thought i`d play safe and go for the 275`s very pleased with the look, went with stock sizes at the front...chris

My Eibach lowered car had 285s on 20" rears when I bought it. The ride sucked and the tires cost too much to replace. These cars were designed so all the systems work together -- going custom on the wheels and tires adds expense and a high PITA factor for very little reward.
I just went back to stock size rims with stock front tires and 275 rears. The difference in ride quality is phenomenal and no more scraping. If you race, spend the money for a professional setup and you will be happy. If all you do is cruise surface streets, go ahead and spend the dough for the bragging rights. If you're like most people, spend less and have more fun on the freeway. Nobody will dis you for having "only" 275s. See my gallery photos for views of old and new setups.
