This has not been my week...
Actually, this all occurred last week...
Last Wednesday on the way home from work, I hit a pothole that was quite a bit bigger than the usual potholes I encounter. I got nervous after hitting it so hard but the steering felt fine and I didn't notice any issues on the way home. The next morning when I drove to and from work, I noticed a slight wobble. When I got home, I checked the tire that made the biggest impact and discovered this:

Not just a blister in the sidewall but the blister had actually split! I got some nasty curb rash from the pothole as well.
Not wanting to risk a blow-out, I decided to take my beater truck into work the next day (Friday). Because the truck had been sitting for awhile, I checked the battery, tire pressures, and a few other things to make sure it was road worthy. Everything checked out. The next morning as I pulled out of the driveway, I heard the dreaded clunking sound. Before I could make it to a safe place to stop, the clunking got a lot worse. When I was finally able to stop the truck safely, this was the outcome:

I had a blowout on my truck! Same wheel as the Crossfire too (left front). After I got the spare mounted, I drove in to work. When I went to leave work, I had a dead battery! I had a co-worker jump it for me and everything worked fine from there on out.
On Saturday, I decided to risk it and change to my summer wheels and tires a bit early on the Crossfire so I could go back to driving it. I just hoped there wouldn't be any more snow for the year since it's almost April. Well, I get the wheels switched over and as I lower the jack, I realize that the left front tire on my summer wheels has a puncture too!
I just can't win this week!

Fortunately there is only one Monday each week..... that is a tough way to start...
Glad that there was no other damage and you made it through the day....
Have a beer (or two, or three) and pretend it never happened.....

man, that truly sux Alex. You do know that your collision coverage will cover the pothole incident, right? Cuz it will. The wheel and the tire. Less of course the deductible. Anyway, hope this is the end of it! Hope to see you soon. BTW. there's one over by the Mall of America, that will swallow small cars. It's on that frontage road, and I know where it is so can avoid it, but man it's a big one. Mark
