Need advice on lowering springs
Need advice on lowering springs
Hey, i need some professional advice from all you great members on springs for my 05' Xfire.
It's 50.000Km/31.000Miles in and im looking to drop it 1 or maybe 2 inches if possible.
I've heard some horror stories of people installing lowering springs and blowing the OEM Shocks/struts
My Xfire is my daily driver and i wont be using it on track or in any fast and the furious movie.
One more thing, where in the HELL can i get a hold on red side markers for the front bumper ?
I've been searching EVERYWHERE on the web except the correct websites obviously...
The Chrysler dealer here in Iceland is charging around $100 a piece ROBERY
Thanks everybody and i hope i made my self understandable, my English is improving day by day

Re: Need advice on lowering springs
Lowering the car should not hurt the factory shocks.... you should cut the rear shock bump stops so they dont 'bottom out'.....
Needswings carries the Eibach Pro springs and they will get you what you are looking for... I have them on mine with Koni adjustable shocks......
Also note that lowering will increase your negative camber on the rear wheels a fair amount.... this is tough on the inside of the tires..... if you lower the car you should think about adjustable rear camber arms....
(I know a guy that makes some).....
