Question Paint your wheel wells?

Has anyone painted their wheel wells.

Mine are black, but some of the car color is showing thru.
I'm cleaning and detailing each wheel well this winter.

Thoughts?

DJ

My inner wheel wells are white just like my car. That's the way it was when I bought it new. Painting them black would make it a lot easier to "detail".

I used a product that's designed to protect the bed area on a pickup trucks. Its been two years and it has held up very well so far. I cleaned the wheel well and applied with a brush. It wasn't cheap about $30 for a quart.

Yes, the white paint under my wheel wells has the "texture" of PVC coating.

Wheel wells on the rear are coated with sound absorbent material and it is black.
My AB is all black in this area. Is it possible that lighter colors are over sprayed the body color in that area to prevent a drastic contrast?

I think I'm gonna darken and refresh the wells with a coat of black rust oleum type paint. Bought the paint today.

In the past, I've cleaned them very well and sprayed Tire dressing (satin) on them. Makes it look great and lasts quite a while. As I recall, FP tried this and liked it too.

I thought of undercoating.. I didn't want to tape every thing off, too much overspray for me.

There isn't any rust, just looking to spruce it up a bit...
