Chrome Brakes?
Chrome Brakes?
Other than needing a new intercooler pump, one of the things I noticed when I bought my SRT6 was that it needed new rotors. The dealer had installed new OEM pads but neglected turning the rotors. They're pretty badly grooved and probable couldn't have been done anyway.
I purchased a new set of Hawk Performance ceramic pads to get away from the fugly dirty rim look and have been looking at my options for the rotors. One that I came across was Chrome Brakes:
Cross drilled rotors, cross drilled vs slotted rotors, slotted rotors, drilled rotors
I completely understand that after applying the brakes a few times the color on the face will wear off. I actually went through the trouble of masking out and painting (yellow) the rotors on my blaze red Limited. I'm always being complimented on how good they look when seen through the black Mandrus Wilhems against the red car.
I want to do something similar on the 6. My question is, has anyone installed or see any issue with them?
