Help - Brake Upgrades - where to start ?
asked the dealer for brake info to upgrade system they said can’t give me info because car is protected, anyone heard this before or know if this is true

It is hard to say what the person at the dealership meant by that remark. But we know one thing: The statement was made in ignorance.
Now, you went to a dealer and expected an intelligent, helpful response. Have you learned why my sigline says what it does?
If you want an intelligent answer about modding ANY car, you go to the community that supports and loves the car. So, coming here is the right thing to do. But you are using the wrong title and posted in the wrong forum. Let's see if I can fix that....

Limited or srt?
limited , just install srt6 brakes ,,front is all that is needed to upgrade
srt u can do a few things if u are going on the track often, yet daily driver ,replace with C32 brakes.
and of course some have gone to aftermarket they will chime in.
there have been some new upgrades in the last few years i think the c500 fits but not sure what you have to do to make that happen

Go to the C32 brake upgrade, read all 200+ post, mine are the last few pages, the CLK 500 front conversion, a how to with photos, also there are early post about the more stock upgrades. I also posted a rear brake upgrade that would put the 300mm rear disk on a NA and they will be vented instead of solid. That should answer all you questions. All the info you need about this car you will find on this form!

Thank you for the info on brake upgrade,up here in Montana we are very limited as to where you can take a car like this and get good info.this forum has been a great help
