Yeah...I do have my answer...I may be reporting him...

 

Well, I got those parts yesterday...one casualty in the delivery: Obviously not packed carefully enough!

 

So I sent carneymike a note about the broken part...here is his reply:

thank you for the pictures, the items shown were not the items i put in that package the one shows scratches. the motor was pulled and stored on a garage, a fem months later i pulled the plugs wires and coils AND PACKAGED THEM THAT NIGHT due to the fact i knew they would sell...was the package in tact torn or did it looked resealed...if so I would open a case with the shipping company. I would never sell anything broken and there was no way I could had broken on my end I apologize for the issue and I will assist whit whatever I can do to help. Keeping in mind my return policy due to the fact people return the items they had that they bought replacements for them. I do also have pictures of all 6 coils the night i pulled before packaging that shows no damage to any portion of all of them

 

Pay Pal can fix this..! OH.. did you contact Ebay with his postage surcharge.. They would like to know also I'd bet.

And don't forget the NEGATIVE feedback.. that always looks nice to future buyers! Add in the postage extra with the comment!

 

How ca PP help? Not sure I know my rights on this one. I haven't contacted eBay on the extra postage, but I will...

 

I'm guessing you used pay pal.. dispute item not as described. Broke.. package arrived in great shape.. etc..?

 

Will settle for 25 dollar refund.. LOL..

I sent him a note via eBay letting him know if he doesn't make this right, I will leave negative feedback, and escalate the issue...

 

Couldn't hurt.. since he's probably done this more than once and still on Ebay.. I'd say he probably "bullies" his way till called on it..

Guess at least on the "bright side" you did get your wires and 5 coil packs? That does at least put you on the plus side of the deal doesn't it?

 

Here is his response to my note:

like I said in the message I will file a claim with the shipping co. I feel like there was nothing else I could had done...my packing was sold if the package was damaged then that's the issue but I have pics of the items with no damage so open all the claims against me you like the no return policy will cover mel again sorry hope to figure this out

So, no responsibility for the incident whatsoever... guess I will have to do something...

Did you inform Ebay of his "added shipping" practice? I sent out three wrenches to 3 different locations yesterday for 22 bucks..

I've decided that Mr. Carney is not the nicest of people:

I did ask around about you afterward, and some have said that you've tried to sell parts for "twice what they were worth," their words, not mine. Sorry, but your feedback is not 'near perfect,' You've had 1 negative in the last month, and I believe 5-6 over the past year. The fact is, the item in question did not arrive in good condition."

 

Hmm... guess I could "buy" and item.. then refuse payment.. and report an email for trying to add double shipping cost..

 

I would probably leave him negative feedback based on the extortion of additional shipping fees alone. Keep in mind, only buyers can leave negative feedback, and the seller can't leave retalitory feedback anymore.
