They are used to attach parts in several different areas on the Crossfire (for example to attach the rear spoiler mounting plate). The nut size is 10mm. Anybody have some of these or know where I can buy some? The Chrysler stealership is telling me they cannot get them?? Please e-mail me at RedDogNumber1@aol.com . . . THANKS

They are needed if you are building a car for shows, regular metric nuts and washers would be fine.
Lowes and the Home depot carry metric nuts up here.
Regular inch size washers can be modified if required.

Don't you know that I would lay awake every night tossing and turning knowing that I did not use the "proper" fasteners . . . Then I'd have to take everything apart again and re-do it correctly!

You must be 'nuts'. LOL
In most major cities there are stores/trade outlets that specialize in fasteners of all kinds. These will have these parts if you are lucky. Trouble is they may have a minimum order policy.

Go to a quality auto body shop. They should have them - a major supplier of fasteners to the body shop trade is Wurth Industries & they should have them no problem

Get them locally if you can, sometimes it's not wurth the trouble to go too far afield.

LOL - Don't you think that there are any quality auto body shops in his area? These are pretty common in the industry, though - that's why I suggested that he get them from a body shop. A local one would be best. Wurth is a supplier to the industry, but don't sell to individuals.

I think my wife, some relatives and most friends would probably agree . . .

Thanks for the leads . . . As you may know south Florida is a resort area with no industry so running to the local nut / bolt / fastener store just doesn't happen here.

I don't want those serrations on the bottom of the washer digging into my freshly painted parts . . .

I'll need to verify that they are M6-1.0 thread and can do that at my local NAPA store on Monday. If so, I did a little online searching and I think these seem to be the closest . . .

$12.31 - M6-1.0 (Thread Size) Metric Flange Lock Nuts Qty (50) [15316] : NutsandBolts.com

Hex Flange Nut M6-1.0 Black Phos Class 9

Can I live with the black phosphate coated ones? . . . I hope so . . . I'll just try to convince myself they are an improvement over the OEM silver ones and because the rescue roadster is black they'll kind of match better . . . LOL

Hi Anthony . . . Thanks for your offer of assistance. I'm going to buy that new batch of 100 so I'll have them available for future projects. I'll use the black ones from the new batch to reassemble my rescue roadster and that will leave me some of the original OEM flange nuts for my parts collection.

FYI - I did buy "your" WaveTrac rear end and TCM from Linda R. Should have it here in a week or so. I will have a couple of questions for you so will e-mail you directly about that . . .
