Everyone has 20/20 hindsight . . . I didn't have the rescue roadster at that time and the Karmen 62mm pulley on my #1 SRT6 was proven to be reliable. Accordingly I just didn't need that Code3 then so sold it to another member who wanted it.

Idk... If he bought it with cash, it's more or less his prerogative to do with it what he wants. Hell, I probably bought that pulley, and I only wanted it for upgrades, my car wasn't down.

Guess the lesson here is "don't be a nice guy and try to help a member... throw it on Ebay and get every nickle it's worth"..

Hope someone has this pulley and get's 20 bucks under new price!

I've given parts away, free or so cheap I considered them gifts, and was happy to do so. If they turned around and sold my parts for a profit it's none of my business. It was a gift, or underpriced. I have been on the receiving end as well. I haven't forgotten. I've paid more than I thought a part was worth to forum members that I consider to have contributed a fortune in knowledge to us all. No regrets. RED DOG isn't the first and won't be the last to buy and sell, from and to, forum members. I find him benevolent.

I don't have a pulley in good condition. If I did, I'd have no problem selling it to whomever wanted it including the OP.

Les

Perhaps benign would be more fitting in this situation, eh Mr. M?

I'll save you the trouble . . . Here is the pertinent excerpt from the e-mail I sent to you on 12/16/13 . . . I have the whole series of our e-mail communications if you want I can post them all because your memory seems to be defective.

Hello Austin,

. . . .

I would be a willing buyer at $250.00 delivered. I would just be using the Code 3 as a spare back up pulley incase something should happen to my 62mm Karmen pulley. If you can do better . . . no hard feelings . . . go for it. If you want to take my offer let me know and I'll send immediate payment via PayPal.

COULD THAT BE A COINCIDENCE?? - I DON'T THINK SO!

I DID end up reselling the pulley to member S.Artee on 1/15/14.

Here is an excerpt of my e-mail to S.Artee on 1/15/14 . . .

I'm not sure how many miles of use are on the pulley. I bought it from a forum member who had taken it off to install a 62mm Karmen supercharger pulley. With this 65mm Code 3 pulley, you will NOT have to worry about changing out the fuel pump and installing a fuel pressure regulator. I would have a new bearing installed before putting it on. Just take off the OEM pulley, and install this one. A tune will further improve performance further.

I bought this Code3 just to have a spare pulley incase my newly installed 62mm Karmen pulley developed issues . . . I'm now comfortable with my 62mm so I can let this one go . . .

Let me know if you want it.

My question is: Since the pulley has to come off, is it reasonable to go ahead and order an upgraded pulley from EC (I'm thinking "yes") and if I do, will they provide a pulley that has new bearings?

Just looking for input from those of you who've been down this road. Thanks!!
Hey Rob, I have a gently used second generation 65mm code3 pulley available ($350.00) if you decide to go that route . . . Let me know.

Code 3 was a small company that is no longer in business . . . Their original release of the 65 mm pulley (now referred to as Gen1) was plagued with problems and resulted in a bad reputation for the company. Even though their revised design of the 65mm pulley dubbed Gen2 performed much their bad reputation dragged them under and out of business.

In comparison, Eurocharge is a large multinational company that is still in business and provides excellent customer service support on their products (even though they too have had issues with some of their pulleys).

The fact is that the because there is no support available and the Code 3 has a lingering bad product reputation, their pulleys do not bring anywhere near the same re-sale dollar that the Eurocharge pulleys command.
