Center Windshield Trim/"Moulding"
Well, I just got my first crossfire a couple of weeks ago with 56k miles on it. It's an 04 NA. Was black to start with and at some point got a second tone of trim-matching silver along the sides. There are some problems here and there with it but overall is pretty solid. Anyways, I was testing the capabilities on the highway and just so happened to lose the center windshield trim in the process. I went back with a couple of buddies to try and find it and it's gone... I've looked around, including on this forum, and I've seen some pretty outrageous prices for a plastic bar that seems like it was basically glued (terribly) onto the top of the body. I refuse to go to a dealer and I'm not trying to pay $3-400+ for a piece of plastic. Especially when I look on sites such as eBay and see that I can get the side pieces together for less than $90 in near-mint condition. Is there a secret supply of crossfire parts that people have gone through to try and get these parts for something a tad more reasonable? I'm not opposed to having to sand and paint it as I already have the paint code for the silver trim pieces. I know I'm not the only person to have come across this unfortunate situation and not wanted to pay basically full price on a piece of plastic that went to a car that is no longer in production. Any help would be much appreciated.
