Default Wanted - Metal fuel pipe

Part number: 05098508aa

Preferably a brand new part or a good condition used part, I am U.K. based but will pay for international shipping if possible.

It should be for the metal fuel pipe that runs the length of the car.

Your number is almost correct, I get 0509850AA from the 2004 parts catalogue.
You should be able to get one made as there is nothing special about them as far as I know.
There would be something special about an OEM part and that would be the price, very expensive.

Are you sure you can make them? It seems a rather complex shape to bend metal piping into without the correct tools.

An auto repair shop makes them all the time.
Rust is a big problem in the UK, especially the fenders. There are spots between the wheel well liner and the fender were mud collects, these need to be flushed regularly to keep them clean.

Im very aware of bodywork rust issues in the U.K. especially at the coast. The bigger issue is the lack of use due to recent events means the fuel pipe rotted away at the lowest spot right next to the exhaust.
I need it fixed before I end up driving down the road like the Back to the Future Delorean

take your car,, or go to a auto repair shop tell them your fuel line is leaking , and ,can they repair or replace it when u get their answer, have them fix it, and let us know . really no big deal and should cost no more than 100 to 200 US dollars. jim

Can you temporarily replace that section with a rubber fuel line just to get it to a repair shop? A tubbing cutter two clamps and a short piece of fuel line should do it.

I already put in a temporary pipe but it’s not exactly a permanent fix, I will need a new pipe front to back. Ideally an actual part would be easy to just replace it outright but so far it seems to be made out of pure unobtainium.

Your only other option would be salvage.

Ive put the word out to U.K. based Chrysler/Mercedes breakers but I probably will have to go down the road of fabrication.
