Tires
Ok another dealer thinks my problem is in my tires, idiots, But it I was talking to my Dad this morning and we were wandering What tires came on your Crossfire? Every Crossfire I've seen have been running Continental's (which are rather noisy), but when I bought mine it had Michelin's on it. (nice and quiet).
Re: Tires
Right, the standard tires are the Continental all-season tires.
The Michelin PS2's are a optional summer only tire, because it wouldn't make much since to have a summer only tire as standard...
I checked the box for the PS2's though, the best tire I've ever had for gripping the road dry or wet!
I won't be taking them in the snow though, that's for sure!

Re: Tires
I have my window sticker sitting in front of me. The Continental ASP Tires are listed under Optional Equipment, at $185.00.
The sticker first lists, under Standard Equipment - Exterior Features, "P225/40ZR18, P255/35ZR19 Performance Tires."
The Conti's are the optional tire, at least on my 2005 Limited Coupe.

Re: Tires
MY window sticker says the Pilots as "standard equipment" and considering this is a performance car, it makes sense. I don't want anyone to get pissed, but for those who have the Conti's and want to step up and make their Crossfire performance GREAT, get some summer perf tires and you can thank me later! I suggest BFG KDW2's or those Goodyear Eagle F1's.

The standard tire on 2004 Crossfires was the (max performance summer) Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. The optional tire, listed as a $185 upgrade, was the (grand touring all-season) Continental ContiTouringContact CW95.
At some point Chrysler (I believe during the 2005 model year) also began equipping Crossfires with the (max performance summer) Continental ContiSportContact 2 as the standard tire, while the Continental ContiTouringContact CW95 is still the optional tire.
I think some folks are confusing the two Continental tires, one being an all-season and the other a summer tire.
The Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is significantly more expensive than either of the Continental tires. There is no obvious reason why the ContiTouringContact CW95 adds $185 to the MSRP. My guess is that Chrysler thought that tires having some winter weather capability would appear to have more value to the consumer. There may have been other issues such as volume discounts on the PS2.
I also think some folks are under the impression that a summer tire is only good on dry pavement. When it comes to performance, the summer tires are superior to the all-season tire in both dry and unfrozen wet pavement. However, the all-season tire will provide at least some traction in wet, frozen weather. Some primary reasons for the all-season tires on a Crossfire would be for driving in snow/ice (have fun!), comfort (sidewall probably not as stiff), cost (currently only around $600 for 4 at tirerack!), and treadwear (UTQG rating is higher than those of summer tires).

My passengers say the noise is from the left rear tire and at low speeds. Sounds like something mechanical is failing and not the tire. Bah.

"225/40ZR18, 255/35ZR19 Performance Tires" and no where does it states the type (Michelin or Contis) but mine did come with the Conti Sport. My options only lists the coat paint, two-tone interior, and 5-speed with autostick.
So maybe its based on having the Coupe, SRT or Roadster?
