Default Dented window molding/trim

On the driver's side of my car, the little trim piece that is towards the front of the car has a dent in it. I usually wouldn't care about the dent, but once I get up to about 45mph, it starts to howl as it lets air into the cabin. I believe it is a metal piece with a rubber paint/liner on it. Would it damage it if I were to try and bend the dent out? And if so, how would I go about doing that? It's not a dent in the center of the trim, but more of a line/crease that is deeper towards the window portion.
