I own Crossire's cousin, the SLK32 AMG
This forum is wild. Entire pages meant for your eyes only lonely".
My mods are:
1. Needswings DCAI
2. EC 65mm pulley
3. EC tune
I have ordered a set of plugs, stock heat range with Magnecor wires. After 75km I would think it is like for a change, 2 gallons of MOBIL 1, if I can't get it at a good price at Advance they are supposed to match competitors prices. I was told to get 0-40 weight Valve cover gaskets and a fight.
I am on Rob's tweaked intake manifolds and "Y" pipe. I love the sheetmetal intakes but $1500. Is more than 12% of what I paid for the car. Some have said to go ahead and get the ported "Y" and the tweaked intake and other have said it offers a poor return.
On the exhaust I may do a custom system. I would change the stock front cats(use my PYPES converters from and remove the rear ones. Borla makes a Stinger muffler for imports, polished SS with dual upswept tips. Not sure about the resonator. I do want the exhaust to be quiet until it is wide open throttle. Not much alse to do but if I have missed something please let me know. The key is a dynotune but who in Florida. Anyone know a dyno tuner who has software to tune the SLK32 AMG?!THX.l

Re: I own Crossire's cousin, the SLK32 AMG
I didn't get the smoothed Y pipe because of the belief that it would offer very minimal gains relative to the price and pain of installing it. Alternatively, I'm very happy with the tweaked manifolds as long as you get a dyno tune to adjust the A/F ratio. On oil, I use mobil 1 0w20 extended fuel economy oil. I will never run this car on the autobahn so I don't need the heavier 0w40 shear protection, and the lower weight oil provides slightly better mileage and power due to reduced drag at operating temp. Some folks will now likely jump all over me and burn me at the stake for saying such heretical things :-) I checked this with Blackstone Labs test engineer who does professional oil testing and they confirmed that it will never be an issue as long as I keep it under 153 mph...
Re: I own Crossire's cousin, the SLK32 AMG
Exactly, that's why I do use Royal Purple 0w-40 and had the electronic speed limiter deleted. What did the engineer say about RP compared to M1? I just read a supposedly unbiased test and M1 didn't fare too well, several brands outperformed it.
