Default Took the SSB for a run down the track - 04-10-2010 , 04:26 PM

Since the Aero is still not working right and we have a great day today for the track, I decided to take the SSB out and see how a factory car runs with just a SL55 intake, TVT tubes and NW devil horns.... no tune, no pulley nothing else..... I did put the DR's on though....

So for all those inquiring minds...stock car with just a CAI..

Run number 1 was better than I expected.... I was thinking 13.0 to high 12...
I hit 12.84sec @109.7mph with a 2.0 60'........

Second run was good too... 12.86sec @ 109.5mph with 1.94 60'......

The third run was off as I didnt get the DR's heated well and I felt it slip from 2nd to 3rd shift...
13.1sec @ 108.74mph with 2.02 60'

All in all, I had a nice morning......

Nice runs Mike. I think 13.02 was the best I did with just a CAI. The C3 pulley brought me down to 12.76, then the tune dropped me to 12.22. Very impressive with no pulley.

Nice run Mike....I haven't and probably won't run the coupe as I drove Matt's while at US41, and ran a 13.1 on a very hot day on a very slick track....lol....so I will just use his time for my basis...it isn't a big deal to me. What is a big deal is the trouble you are having...I am ready to shoot these manis off to Shelton to do his "thing". Have you diagnosed your problems w/ the modified car? Just want to make sure, as I am doing similar mods to the coupe...thanks, man...racing, just can't stay away can you....I am backing off a bit this year, I want to show the cars more....and the damn Harley just took me for a chunk....it will have nitrous this time next year...lol.....hell, the coupe may it this time next year...lol

Hells yeah you did. Still the fastest my car ran stock. Haha. Could have been my fat *** wasn't in the car. The 13.1 was bone stock everything and street tires.

Doc, I have not found the culprit yet... as I mentioned, I have ruled out the gas pedal and the TB (I think).... according to the service manual that just leaves a open, short or intermittent connection in the wiring. I am going to go out and re-solder the TB connector that I spliced in and see if I have a cold solder joint and check the wiring with a meter.... I'll let you all know what I find....

I think I will install the Dashdaq too and then take it for a run and see what the data logs look like too......

I wouldnt worry about the mods you are planning... I have been running mine for a year with no issue from them...
