So I have an '05 Limited N/A 6spd and here in Guam we have a drag strip that is right outside the base, and it's $50 for an annual membership with unlimited passes on the strip, they also have drifting and autocross events occasionally.

So since I'm a newb and this is the first time that I've been racing off the streets I have a few questions to get my time down.
I have Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 265's in the back and KDW 225's in the front.

What RPM should I be at to take off? I've been staying around 2500 because the staging area is crap here.

Also, what RPM should I be shifting at?

With the variables of the track I've been told to take a second off your time and you'll be close to what you would get on a real track.

My best time is a 16.2 at 87-ish mph. <<Fun side note I beat my friend's 370Z 6spd.
