that 10-12 degrees is with an ambient of 90+.

I haven't made measurements at 50 F. I think there is a linear diversion as ambient temps rise.
I'm starting to think that engine cover is a heat magnet. Running the single 3" on drivers side and oem on passenger side worked way better than the duals I'm now running. "primary" air flow through the 3" side appears to have kept it cooler. After 40 minutes of Turnpike and 55 mph rural driving, I popped the hood at the gate. Temps were +30 over ambient temp of 40 degrees. The pipes were COLD to the touch. Guess it's jig saw time where the cover connects to the maf housing.. and new plumbing to bypass the stock filter housing and cover. Thinking I'm too determined to keep the stock cover under the hood!
